Sachem East Swimming and Diving Participate at LI Brain Tumor Walk

October 11, 2017 By Team Up 4 Community Leave a Comment

Last week the Sachem East girls varsity swimming and diving team participated at the Long Island Brain Tumor Walk at Jones Beach for the second year.

They joined the Luke’s Warriors team to help raise awareness and support Luke, a Wenonah student, and all who battle brain tumors.

The whole team came out and many parents joined in as well.

“I’ve known Luke’s Mother, Jenn Carusillo, for many years as we swam together for Sachem,” said Sachem East coach Kathleen Dugan. “I was very happy we were able to walk again with Luke’s Warriors and show support for an amazing young boy. He is the happiest little kid and is stronger than most adults I know!”
